Project Bangle

On one of my many visits to Pinterest, I found an amazing bangle DIY.
Since I have a HUGE store up of scrap book paper I was SUPER excited to have found something to do with it all!

First I had to get all my necessities.

I tore my strips of paper, (after I chose some awesome coordinating pages).
Tip: Do all the tearing before. Tear more than you need. Otherwise you are stuck in the middle of your project with not enough strips. Trust me, I speak from experience. Oh, and grab a paper plate to put your mod podge on. I ALSO learned to work on aluminum foil. The piece doesn't stick to it, and it won't leave marks like newspaper.

Part way there!

After making one, the best thing to do is coat the backside of your papers, smooth them on, and wait to mod podge the outside until all your strips are on. Peek of the inside! You're going to want to cut a strip of paper to go along the inside too, to cover up all your seams.

Here is the finished product! I am just waiting on my acrylic spray to come in so I can do a final coat. I've heard mod podge gets tacky in humidity. The spray will remedy that.

This set is for sale! $30 shipped to any US address. $40 shipped to elsewhere. :)

Unique-orns

I have recently had the opportunity to test for Sanda over at Pepika. She makes some awesome, adorably cute patterns for amigurumi! (Make sure to check her out!)
Isn't it adorable? Her pattern is being released very soon. She has amazing photo tutorials for almost every step. The arms and legs are jointed, which is a new feature I'd not used before. No worries tho, as she gives you step by step instructions. Keep an eye on my page for a surprise Uni for sale every so often!
